And what will make you know what (is) the Inevitable Reality?
English - And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality? .
Ayah 4
Denied Thamud and Aad the Striking Calamity.
English - Thamūd and ‘Aad denied the Striking Calamity. .
Ayah 5
So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering (blast).
English - So as for Thamūd, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast]. .
Ayah 6
And as for Aad, they were destroyed by a wind screaming violent,
English - And as for ‘Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind .
Ayah 7
Which He imposed upon them (for) seven nights and eight days (in) succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were trunks (of) date-palms hollow.
English - Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees. .
Ayah 8
Then do you see of them any remains?
English - Then do you see of them any remains? .
Ayah 9
And came Firaun, and (those) before him, and the overturned cities with sin.
English - And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin. .
Ayah 10
And they disobeyed (the) Messenger (of) their Lord, so He seized them (with) a seizure exceeding.
English - And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity]. .
Ayah 11
Indeed, We when overflowed the water, We carried you in the sailing (ship).
English - Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship .
Ayah 12
That We might make it for you a reminder and would be conscious of it an ear conscious.
English - That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it. .
Ayah 13
Then when is blown in the trumpet - a blast single,
English - Then when the Horn is blown with one blast .
Ayah 14
And are lifted the earth and the mountains and crushed (with) a crushing single.
English - And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow – .
Ayah 15
Then (on) that Day will occur the Occurrence,
English - Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur, .
Ayah 16
And will split the heaven, so it (is on) that Day frail.
English - And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm. .
Ayah 17
And the Angels (will be) on its edges, and will bear (the) Throne (of) your Lord above them, that Day, eight.
English - And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them]. .
Ayah 18
That Day, you will be exhibited, not will be hidden among you any secret.
English - That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed. .
Ayah 19
Then as for (him) who is given his record in his right hand will say, "Here, read my record!
English - So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! .
Ayah 20
Indeed, I was certain that I (will) meet my account."
English - Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account." .
Ayah 21
So he (will be) in a life pleasant,
English - So he will be in a pleasant life – .
Ayah 22
In a Garden elevated,
English - In an elevated garden, .
Ayah 23
Its clusters of fruits hanging near.
English - Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near. .
Ayah 24
"Eat and drink (in) satisfaction for what you sent before you in the days past."
English - [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past." .
Ayah 25
But as for (him) who is given his record in his left hand will say, "O! I wish not I had been given my record
English - But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record .
Ayah 26
And not I had known what (is) my account.
English - And had not known what is my account. .
Ayah 27
O! I wish it had been the end
English - I wish my death had been the decisive one. .
Ayah 28
Not has availed me my wealth,
English - My wealth has not availed me. .
Ayah 29
Is gone from me my authority."
English - Gone from me is my authority." .
Ayah 30
"Seize him and shackle him,
English - [Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him. .
Ayah 31
Then (into) the Hellfire burn him.
English - Then into Hellfire drive him. .
Ayah 32
Then into a chain, its length (is) seventy cubits, insert him."
English - Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him." .
Ayah 33
Indeed, he was not believing in Allah the Most Great,
English - Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allah, the Most Great, .
Ayah 34
And (did) not feel the urge on (the) feeding (of) the poor.
English - Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor. .
Ayah 35
So not for him today here any devoted friend,
English - So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend .
Ayah 36
And not any food except from (the) discharge of wounds,
English - Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds; .
Ayah 37
Not will eat it except the sinners.
English - None will eat it except the sinners. .
Ayah 38
But nay! I swear by what you see,
English - So I swear by what you see .
Ayah 39
And what not you see,
English - And what you do not see .
Ayah 40
Indeed, it (is) surely (the) Word (of) a Messenger noble.
English - [That] indeed, the Qur’an is the word of a noble Messenger. .
Ayah 41
And not it (is the) word (of) a poet; little (is) what you believe!
English - And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe. .
Ayah 42
And not (it is the) word (of) a soothsayer; little (is) what you take heed.
English - Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember. .
Ayah 43
(It is) a revelation from (the) Lord (of) the worlds.
English - [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. .
Ayah 44
And if he (had) fabricated against Us some sayings,
English - And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings, .
Ayah 45
Certainly We (would) have seized him by the right hand;
English - We would have seized him by the right hand; .
Ayah 46
Then certainly We (would) have cut off from him the aorta.
English - Then We would have cut from him the aorta. .
Ayah 47
And not from you any one [from him] (who could) prevent (it).
English - And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him. .
Ayah 48
And indeed, it (is) surely a reminder for the Allah-fearing.
English - And indeed, the Qur’an is a reminder for the righteous. .
Ayah 49
And indeed, We surely know that among you (are) deniers.
English - And indeed, We know that among you are deniers. .
Ayah 50
And indeed, it (is) surely a regret upon the disbelievers.
English - And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers. .
Ayah 51
And indeed, it (is) surely (the) truth (of) certainty.
English - And indeed, it is the truth of certainty. .
Ayah 52
So glorify (the) name (of) your Lord, the Most Great.
English - So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. .
