Ayah 1
By the night when it covers,
English - By the night when it covers .
Ayah 2
And the day when it shines in brightness,
English - And [by] the day when it appears .
Ayah 3
And He Who created the male and the female,
English - And [by] He who created the male and female, .
Ayah 4
Indeed, your efforts (are) surely diverse.
English - Indeed, your efforts are diverse. .
Ayah 5
Then as for (him) who gives and fears,
English - As for he who gives and fears Allah .
Ayah 6
And believes in the best,
English - And believes in the best [reward], .
Ayah 7
Then We will ease him towards [the] ease.
English - We will ease him toward ease. .
Ayah 8
But as for (him) who withholds and considers himself free from need,
English - But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need .
Ayah 9
And denies the best,
English - And denies the best [reward], .
Ayah 10
Then We will ease him towards [the] difficulty.
English - We will ease him toward difficulty. .
Ayah 11
And not will avail him his wealth when he falls.
English - And what will his wealth avail him when he falls? .
Ayah 12
Indeed, upon Us (is) the guidance.
English - Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance. .
Ayah 13
And indeed, for Us (is) the Hereafter and the first (life).
English - And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. .
Ayah 14
So I warn you (of) a Fire blazing,
English - So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing. .
Ayah 15
Not will burn (in) it except the most wretched,
English - None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. .
Ayah 16
The one who denied and turned away.
English - Who had denied and turned away. .
Ayah 17
But will be removed from it the righteous,
English - But the righteous one will avoid it – .
Ayah 18
The one who gives his wealth (to) purify himself,
English - [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself .
Ayah 19
And not for anyone with him any favor to be recompensed
English - And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded .
Ayah 20
Except seeking (the) Countenance (of) his Lord, the Most High.
English - But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High. .
Ayah 21
And soon, surely he will be pleased.
English - And he is going to be satisfied. .
