Ayah 1
Qaf. By the Quran, the Glorious.

Ayah 2
Nay, they wonder that has come to them a warner from them. So say the disbelievers, "This (is) a thing amazing.
English - But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. .
Ayah 3
What! When we die and have become dust. That (is) a return far."
English - When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." .
Ayah 4
Certainly, We know what diminishes the earth of them, and with Us (is) a Book guarded.
English - We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. .
Ayah 5
Nay, they denied the truth when it came (to) them, so they (are) in a state confused.
English - But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. .
Ayah 6
Then do not they look at the sky above them - how We structured it and adorned it and not for it any rifts?
English - Have they not looked at the heaven above them – how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts? .
Ayah 7
And the earth, We have spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and We made to grow therein of every kind beautiful,
English - And the earth – We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, .
Ayah 8
Giving insight and a reminder for every slave who turns.
English - Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah]. .
Ayah 9
And We have sent down from the sky water blessed, then We made to grow thereby gardens and grain (for) the harvest,
English - And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest .
Ayah 10
And the palms trees tall - for it (are) layers arranged.
English - And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers – .
Ayah 11
A provision for the slaves, and We give life therewith (to) a land dead. Thus (will be) the coming forth.
English - As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection. .
Ayah 12
Denied before them (the) people (of) Nuh and (the) companions (of) Ar-Raas and Thamud,
English - The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamūd .
Ayah 13
And Aad and Firaun and (the) brothers (of) Lut,
English - And ‘Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot .
Ayah 14
And (the) companions (of) the wood and (the) people (of) Tubba. All denied the Messengers, so was fulfilled My Threat.
English - And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba‘. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. .
Ayah 15
Were We then tired with the creation the first? Nay, they (are) in doubt about a creation new.
English - Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. .
Ayah 16
And certainly We created man and We know what whispers to him his soul, and We (are) nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. (his) jugular vein.
English - And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein .
Ayah 17
When receive the two receivers on the right and on the left seated.
English - When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. .
Ayah 18
Not he utters any word but with him (is) an observer ready.
English - Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. .
Ayah 19
And will come (the) stupor (of) death in truth, "That (is) what you were [from it] avoiding."
English - And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid. .
Ayah 20
And will be blown [in] the trumpet. That (is the) Day (of) the Warning.
English - And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. .
Ayah 21
And will come every soul, with it a driver and a witness.
English - And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. .
Ayah 22
"Certainly you were in heedlessness of this. So We have removed from you your cover, so your sight today (is) sharp."
English - [It will be said], “You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp.” .
Ayah 23
And (will) say his companion, "This (is) what (is) with me ready."
English - And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared." .
Ayah 24
"Throw in (to) Hell every disbeliever stubborn,
English - [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, .
Ayah 25
Forbidder of good, transgressor doubter,
English - Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter, .
Ayah 26
Who made with Allah a god another; so throw him in(to) the punishment the severe."
English - Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." .
Ayah 27
Will say his companion, "Our Lord, not I made him transgress, but he was in error far."
English - His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." .
Ayah 28
He will say, "(Do) not dispute (in) My presence and indeed, I sent forth to you the Warning.
English - [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. .
Ayah 29
Not will be changed the word with Me, and not I Am unjust to My slaves."
English - The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants." .
Ayah 30
(The) Day We will say to Hell, "Are you filled?" And it will say, "Are (there) any more?"
English - On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" and it will say, "Are there some more," .
Ayah 31
And will be brought near the Paradise to the righteous, not far.
English - And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far, .
Ayah 32
"This (is) what you were promised, for everyone who turns (and) who keeps,
English - [It will be said], "This is what you were promised – for every returner [to Allah] and keeper [of His covenant] .
Ayah 33
Who feared the Most Gracious in the unseen, and came with a heart returning.
English - Who feared the Most Merciful unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance]. .
Ayah 34
Enter it in peace. That (is) a Day (of) Eternity."
English - Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity." .
Ayah 35
For them whatever they wish therein and with Us (is) more.
English - They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more. .
Ayah 36
And how many We destroyed before them of a generation, they (were) stronger than them (in) power. so they explored throughout the lands. Is (there) any place of escape?
English - And how many a generation before them did We destroy who were greater than them in [striking] power and had explored throughout the lands. Is there any place of escape? .
Ayah 37
Indeed, in that surely, is a reminder for (one) who, is - for him a heart or (who) gives ear (who) gives ear while he (is) a witness.
English - Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind]. .
Ayah 38
And certainly, We created the heavens and the earth and whatever (is) between both of them in six periods, and (did) not touch Us any fatigue.
English - And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness. .
Ayah 39
So be patient over what they say and glorify (the) praise (of) your Lord, before (the) rising (of) the sun and before the setting,
English - So be patient, [O Muhammad], over what they say and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting, .
Ayah 40
And of the night glorify Him and after the prostration.
English - And [in part] of the night exalt Him and after prostration. .
Ayah 41
And listen! (The) Day will call the caller from a place near,
English - And listen on the Day when the Caller will call out from a place that is near – .
Ayah 42
(The) Day they will hear the Blast in truth. That (is the) Day (of) coming forth.
English - The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves]. .
Ayah 43
Indeed, We [We] [We] give life and [We] cause death, and to Us (is) the final return.
English - Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the destination .
Ayah 44
(The) Day will split the earth from them, hurrying. That (is) a gathering for Us easy.
English - On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us. .
Ayah 45
We know best [of] what they say, and not (are) you over them the one to compel. But remind with the Quran whoever fears My threat.
English - We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant. But remind by the Qur’an whoever fears My threat. .
