Ayah 1
By those scattering, dispersing,
English - By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing .
Ayah 2
And those carrying a load,
English - And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] .
Ayah 3
And those sailing (with) ease,
English - And those [ships] sailing with ease .
Ayah 4
And those distributing Command,
English - And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, .
Ayah 5
Indeed, what you are promised (is) surely true,
English - Indeed, what you are promised is true. .
Ayah 6
And indeed, the Judgment (is) surely to occur.
English - And indeed, the recompense is to occur. .
Ayah 7
By the heaven full of pathways.
English - By the heaven containing pathways, .
Ayah 8
Indeed, you (are) surely in a speech differing.
English - Indeed, you are in differing speech. .
Ayah 9
Deluded away from it (is he) who is deluded.
English - Deluded away from the Qur’an is he who is deluded. .
Ayah 10
Cursed be the liars,
English - Destroyed are the falsifiers .
Ayah 11
Those who [they] (are) in flood (of) heedlessness.
English - Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. .
Ayah 12
They ask, "When (is the) Day (of) Judgment?"
English - They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" .
Ayah 13
A Day, they over the Fire will be tried,
English - [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire .
Ayah 14
"Taste your trial. This (is) what you were for it seeking to hasten."
English - [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." .
Ayah 15
Indeed, the righteous (will be) in Gardens and springs,
English - Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, .
Ayah 16
Taking what their Lord has given them. their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that good-doers.
English - Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. .
Ayah 17
They used to little of the night [what] sleep.
English - They used to sleep but little of the night, .
Ayah 18
And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness,
English - And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, .
Ayah 19
And in their wealth (was the) right (of) those who asked and the deprived.
English - And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. .
Ayah 20
And in the earth (are) signs for those who are certain,
English - And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] .
Ayah 21
And in yourselves. Then will not you see?
English - And in yourselves. Then will you not see? .
Ayah 22
And in the heaven (is) your provision and what you are promised.
English - And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. .
Ayah 23
Then by (the) Lord (of) the heaven and the earth, indeed, it (is) surely (the) truth (just) as [what] you speak.
English - Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth – just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. .
Ayah 24
Has reached you (the) narration (of the) guests (of) Ibrahim the honored?
English - Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? – .
Ayah 25
When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." He said, "Peace, a people unknown."
English - When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. .
Ayah 26
Then he went to his household and came with a calf fat,
English - Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf .
Ayah 27
And he placed it near [to] them, he said, "Will not you eat?"
English - And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?" .
Ayah 28
Then he felt from them a fear. They said, "(Do) not fear," and they gave him glad tidings of a son learned.
English - And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. .
Ayah 29
Then came forward his wife with a loud voice, and struck her face and she said, "An old woman barren!"
English - And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!" .
Ayah 30
They said, "Thus said your Lord. Indeed, He [He] (is) the All-Wise, the All-Knower."
English - They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing." .
Ayah 31
He said, "Then what (is) your mission, O messengers?" O messengers?"
English - [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" .
Ayah 32
They said, "Indeed, we [we] have been sent to a people criminal,
English - They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals .
Ayah 33
That we may send down upon them stones of clay,
English - To send down upon them stones of clay, .
Ayah 34
Marked by your Lord by your Lord for the transgressors."
English - Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." .
Ayah 35
Then We brought out (those) who were therein of the believers.
English - So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers. .
Ayah 36
But not We found therein other than a house of the Muslims.
English - And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims. .
Ayah 37
And We left therein a Sign for those who fear the punishment the painful.
English - And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. .
Ayah 38
And in Musa, when We sent him to Firaun with an authority clear.
English - And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. .
Ayah 39
But he turned away with his supporters and said, "A magician or a madman."
English - But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." .
Ayah 40
So We took him and his hosts and threw them into the sea, while he (was) blameworthy.
English - So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy. .
Ayah 41
And in Aad, when We sent against them the wind the barren.
English - And in ‘Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind. .
Ayah 42
Not it left any thing it came upon it, but it made it like disintegrated ruins.
English - It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. .
Ayah 43
And in Thamud, when was said to them, "Enjoy (yourselves) for a time."
English - And in Thamūd, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." .
Ayah 44
But they rebelled against (the) Command (of) their Lord, so seized them the thunderbolt while they were looking.
English - But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on. .
Ayah 45
Then not they were able to [of] stand and not they could help themselves.
English - And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. .
Ayah 46
And (the) people (of) Nuh before; before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient.
English - And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient. .
Ayah 47
And the heaven We constructed it with strength, and indeed, We (are) surely (its) Expanders.
English - And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander. .
Ayah 48
And the earth, We have spread it; how excellent (are) the Spreaders!
English - And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer. .
Ayah 49
And of every thing We have created pairs, so that you may remember.
English - And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember. .
Ayah 50
So flee to Allah, indeed, I am to you from Him a warner clear.
English - So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner. .
Ayah 51
And (do) not make with Allah god another. Indeed, I am to you from Him a warner clear.
English - And do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner. .
Ayah 52
Likewise not came (to) those before them before them any Messenger but they said, "A magician or a madman."
English - Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman." .
Ayah 53
Have they transmitted it to them? Have they transmitted it to them? Nay, they (are) a people transgressing.
English - Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people. .
Ayah 54
So turn away from them, for not you (are) to be blamed.
English - So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed. .
Ayah 55
And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.
English - And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers. .
Ayah 56
And not I have created the jinn and the mankind except that they worship Me.
English - And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. .
Ayah 57
Not I want from them any provision and not I want that they (should) feed Me.
English - I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. .
Ayah 58
Indeed, Allah, He (is) the All-Provider, Possessor (of) Power the Strong.
English - Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength. .
Ayah 59
So indeed, for those who do wrong, (is) a portion like (the) portion (of) their companions, so let them not ask Me to hasten. so let them not ask Me to hasten.
English - And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me. .
Ayah 60
Then woe to those who disbelieve from their Day which they are promised.
English - And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised. .
