Ayah 1
Indeed, We [We] sent Nuh to his people, that "Warn your people from before [that] comes to them a punishment painful."
English - Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, [saying], "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful punishment." .
Ayah 2
He said, "O my people! Indeed, I am to you a warner clear.
English - He said, "O my people, indeed I am to you a clear warner, .
Ayah 3
That Worship Allah, and fear Him and obey me.
English - [Saying], 'Worship Allah, fear Him and obey me. .
Ayah 4
He will forgive for you [of] your sins and give you respite for a term specified. Indeed, (the) term, (of) Allah, when it comes not is delayed, if you know."
English - Allah will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allah, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew.’ ” .
Ayah 5
He said, "My Lord! Indeed, I invited my people night and day.
English - He said, "My Lord, indeed I invited my people [to truth] night and day. .
Ayah 6
But not increased them my invitation except (in) flight.
English - But my invitation increased them not except in flight. .
Ayah 7
And indeed, I every time, I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears and covered themselves (with) their garments and persisted and were arrogant (with) pride.
English - And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance. .
Ayah 8
Then indeed, I invited them publicly.
English - Then I invited them publicly. .
Ayah 9
Then indeed, I announced to them and I confided to them secretly,
English - Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretly .
Ayah 10
Then I said, "Ask forgiveness (from) your Lord. Indeed, He is Oft-Forgiving.
English - And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. .
Ayah 11
He will send down (rain from) the sky upon you (in) abundance,
English - He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers .
Ayah 12
And provide you with wealth and children, and make for you gardens and make for you rivers.
English - And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers. .
Ayah 13
What (is) for you, not you attribute to Allah grandeur?
English - What is [the matter] with you that you do not attribute to Allah [due] grandeur .
Ayah 14
And indeed, He created you (in) stages.
English - While He has created you in stages? .
Ayah 15
Do not you see how did create Allah (the) seven heavens (in) layers,
English - Do you not consider how Allah has created seven heavens in layers .
Ayah 16
And made the moon therein a light and made the sun a lamp?
English - And made the moon therein a [reflected] light and made the sun a burning lamp? .
Ayah 17
And Allah has caused you to grow from the earth (as) a growth.
English - And Allah has caused you to grow from the earth a [progressive] growth. .
Ayah 18
Then He will return you into it and bring you forth, (a new) bringing forth.
English - Then He will return you into it and extract you [another] extraction. .
Ayah 19
And Allah made for you the earth an expanse,
English - And Allah has made for you the earth an expanse .
Ayah 20
That you may go along therein (in) paths wide."
English - That you may follow therein roads of passage.' " .
Ayah 21
Said Nuh, "My Lord! Indeed, they disobeyed me and followed (the one) who, (did) not increase him his wealth, and his children except (in) loss.
English - Noah said, "My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children will not increase him except in loss. .
Ayah 22
And they have planned, a plan great.
English - And they conspired an immense conspiracy. .
Ayah 23
And they said, "(Do) not leave your gods, and (do) not leave Wadd and not Suwa and not Yaguth and Yauq and Nasr."
English - And said, 'Never leave your gods and never leave Wadd or Suwa‘ or Yaghūth and Ya‘ūq and Nasr. .
Ayah 24
And indeed, they have led astray many. And not increase the wrongdoers except (in) error."
English - And already they have misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error." .
Ayah 25
Because of their sins they were drowned, then made to enter (the) Fire, and not they found for themselves from besides Allah any helpers.
English - Because of their sins they were drowned and put into the Fire, and they found not for themselves besides Allah [any] helpers. .
Ayah 26
And said Nuh, "My Lord! (Do) not leave on the earth any (of) the disbelievers (as) an inhabitant.
English - And Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the disbelievers an inhabitant. .
Ayah 27
Indeed, You, if You leave them they will mislead Your slaves and not they will beget except a wicked, a disbeliever.
English - Indeed, if You leave them, they will mislead Your servants and not beget except [every] wicked one and [confirmed] disbeliever. .
Ayah 28
My Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and whoever enters my house - a believer and the believing men and the believing women. And (do) not increase the wrongdoers except (in) destruction."
English - My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction." .
